Ginger tea

One of my favourite housewife pastimes is going to an ethnic grocery store with my toddler. They have such amazing things. I had just decided that we mustn't, aboslutely mustn't, buy any more tins of tea before we have emptied the ones we already have (about 50, I suppose). But these tins were just so pretty, and I love rose tea, and everything with ginger in it, or blackcurrant. The design of these tins is wonderful!


As is the design in just about everything they have, like these chocolate sticks. (I bought them for the package!)


We bought piles of buckwheat noodles, curry paste, different lentils, coconut milk, coconut candy and sweet chilli sauce. Yum! What a lovely morning we had.

I've painted two more pictures. A spaceship:


And a commissioned piece, "with lots of skulls and a pirate ship". In spite of the garish details, I think it's cheerful enough.


Last night I updated my "dress book". It was supposed to be a scrap book where I collect ideas for my sewing, but I only seem to find dresses that I like. I very much admire this kind of scrap books in people's blogs, but I'm quite lazy with mine, and critical too. It's difficult to find stuff that like enough to cut it out of a magazine.

Ideas for Christmas pressies!

Much to my dismay, two pictures of Mischa Barton ended up in my book! I've always thought her an irritating skeletal clothes hanger, who will wear any trend and never reads a book, but she just happened to have a couple of lovely dresses.


One day my husband bought me surprise gift from the flea market, a huge prism from a crystal chandelier. I finally discovered an ideal spot for it, in a flower pot.
